Opportunities for outreach*:

  

  As an individual:

- pray for the opportunity

- engage in a conversation with the person

- be positive

- offer them a gift, or utilize the JESUS Film DVD as part of a gift packet during a holiday like Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter, and set up an opportunity to talk further

- Enclose the JESUS Film DVD in a Christmas Gift or other holiday packet.  Please see the following photo of the Christmas packet and suggested enclosures: - DVD, Christmas greeting card, candy cane and bookmark describing its legend, bag of popcorn.  Many immigrants are never greeted during Christmas, nor have they received a Christmas gift!  The same goes for other holidays of Christian origin.

   As a church:

- pray as a Body for opportunities for the entire church

- examine your town or city and make a list of those whom you'd like to reach

- coordinate the opportunities with special events or dates

- provide a time of training on cross-cultural "dos and don'ts"

- provide materials for outreach by various church members

- set a specific time - day, week or other period - during which to have the encounters

- schedule a time of praise and reporting on what God has done

   Summer Missions program:

- join with volunteers from across the country; attend as a small group - 5-50 persons

- reach the world without leaving the U.S.A.

- limited opportunities; we'll work with you to find an outreach that serves your location and calendar needs

- great for cross-cultural exposure and training

- most opportunities would be 3-4 days over a weekend; some are a week, and others area all summer

   As part of a large outreach:

- God has given us a unique opportunity in this country, and with it many ways to reach out to those who

are from other lands.

- whether an individual, organization, church or other, there are opportunities for sharing the Gospel with those from other countries.  There are specific opportunities that are taking place during the year.  Some will be suitable for summer mission trips by churches or college groups or family vacations!
