F.A.Q
How can I...
Share
with my immigrant neighbor, business colleague, etc.?
Easy
- here are some simple steps to follow. Before you start, make
a list of those individuals you know who are from other countries,
whether in the workplace, the neighborhood, a local store or whom you've
met during a leisure activity.
As
you start each day, pray for the Holy Spirit's leading. As God
brings people from other countries to mind, evaluate your relationship
with them. What do you have in common with them? Even if
nothing, still pray for the opportunity.
Make
a conscious effort to pursue meeting or getting to know them. It
may be extending hospitality, meeting a new colleague at work, walking
across the street to greet a neighbor, or inviting someone for coffee
or a meal.
As
you get to know your neighbors, listen. Is there a way you can
meet a need they have? You may find the opportunity to offer
to pray for them. Many persons coming from overseas are more
in tune with spiritual issues than the typical American.
Gift
giving and receiving is welcomed in other cultures.
While the gift of time is perhaps our most precious gift, sometimes
a simple gesture of friendship - a baked item or a meal, a card, or
perhaps even something in their mother-tongue language like the JESUS
film, a book, or the New Testament (if the relationship has progressed
that far). Several multi-language JESUS Film DVDs have been produced
and are available for churches, organizations or individuals to give
out to friends, neighbors or business associates. Please click
here to see our partner's webpage -CCCi's
Peoples Connection Initiative - for more info.
People
are people the world over, and what is important to us will probably
be many of the same things important to them. Be sure to communicate
early in your relationship that you are a follower of Jesus Christ. It
is part of your spiritual pilgrimage, and will help establish a relationship
of trust with them; it may even open the door to further questions.

Engage
my church in reaching out to our immigrant neighborhoods?
In
contacting your church, pray and ask God to direct you to the appropriate
person(s) in your church. Contact them and share your heart and vision
for this kind of outreach. Be prepared to engage in the activity
yourself.
Materials
are available to help give the church leadership some ideas on what kinds
of outreach can be implemented. The outreach can be shared by a small group
of individuals or the entire church congregation. Please register and mention
that you'd like additional information on how your church can become involved
we'll gladly send you some specific ideas as well as a testimony of one
church pastor's engagement in this idea.
Some
churches are creating outreach opportunities around immigrants arriving
in their communities. Others are welcoming worship groups of other
faiths and reaching out to them in the name of Jesus.
Within
the church calendar, Holy Days (holidays) like Thanksgiving, Christmas,
Easter and even Pentecost provide wonderful opportunities for a church
body to step outside their walls and welcome those new to the community.

Participate
in a large outreach near me?
Great question! Please
contact us to check to see if any of the events listed are near you.
For many of our outreaches, we
work in partnership with networks of organizations and churches that share
in reaching immigrants in metro areas. Your participation may be
in your own city, or it may mean driving a distance to help in one of the
opportunities. Some volunteers have flown across the country to assist! If
you don't see any listed in an area you want to participate in, e-mail
us and we'll see if another opportunity is available through one of our
network partners.

Pray
for Christ for All Peoples and those who are ministering to immigrants
in the U.S. and Canada?
We appreciate your offer to
pray for us and welcome it gladly.
Specific prayer requests will be
sent out by e-mail to those who have registered on-line and offered to
pray with us on a regular basis. "The prayer of a righteous man is
powerful and effective." James 5:16b

Be involved
in immigrant outreach in a city in the U.S.?
Several of our partners and networks across the country
are regularly planning outreaches to share the Gospel in various metro
regions across the United States. Some of these are listed on the
calendar, but it is not an exhaustive list.
If you don't see any in your area, please click here to
be redirected to the "Register" page of this site and ask about your particular
area in the comments box. We'll contact you directly with currently
available information.
In other areas, partner organizations have undertaken
doing outreach to entire neighborhoods with wonderful results. A
document containing the process of how one outreach went is available upon
request; several thousand families were reached within a few hours. Click here to
be redirected to "Register" page and ask for the neighborhood outreach
document.

Find other organizations who are
engaged in similar outreach?
There are many organizations
which have an interest in ministering to immigrants in the USA. Some
are large; others are small. Some are focused on this aspect of ministry
full-time; for others, it is a portion of what they do.

"Partnerships" page where you'll find a list of some of the organizations
involved in this ministry work. For additional partner names or questions
